5 februari @ 18:30 - 23:30
On a larger scale, food is an important part of culture. Traditional cuisine is passed down from one generation to the next. It also operates as an expression of cultural identity. Immigrants bring the food of their countries with them wherever they go and cooking traditional food is a way of preserving their culture when they move to new places. Each country or community’s unique cuisine can reflect its unique history, lifestyle, values, and beliefs. And as DIOK is an international association we want to celebrate each culture with a Potluck on the 5th of february. Everyone, who wants to cook something, should do this for around 7,50 Euro (for around two portions). Please feel free to cook something traditional from your culture. We will create a buffet from all the dishes, so everyone is able to prove it. If you provided a dish, the evening, besides the drinks will be free for you. We hope to see a lot of you there, at this evening.
